Orka Plugins Rundown: Part 1
With Orka’s simple CLI and our growing library of plugins and integrations, ease-of-use is central to our targeted user experience. In short, Orka is a tool for everyone.
MacStadium’s development team created Orka (Orchestration with Kubernetes on Apple) to deliver a powerful CI platform specifically for iOS developers. And DevOps teams, you’re welcome to the party too! With Orka’s simple CLI and our growing library of plugins and integrations, ease-of-use is central to our targeted user experience. In short, Orka is a tool for everyone.
Our development team has been hard at work building a library of plugins and integrations to support our customers' workflows. We've been rolling out so many, they warranted more than one blog post. So, without further ado, here is PART I of our Orka Plugins Rundown:
Jenkins is one of the most popular automation solutions out there year in and year out – and for good reason. The collection of plugins Jenkins offers allows for an inherently wide range of use cases. One of which, of course, is interacting with your Orka environment. Want to try out the Jenkins plugin for yourself? Sign-up for our Orka demo. The Jenkins plugin is part of the sandbox environment – get hands-on and run a build!
GitLab is a free, open-source git repository platform that also has built-in CI/CD. This solution may appeal to less DevOps-focused teams for its relative simplicity. And although relative simplicity comes at the cost of options to some degree, GitLab CI/CD boasts an impressive number of features that may do just what you need – easy peasy. In particular, our GitLab Orka integration scripts will make configuring your GitLab Runner a piece of cake!
Buildkite is a platform for CI and testing, with elements that are open source, such as their agent. It is considered a very good CotS (commercial, off-the-shelf) CI solution, with an excellent reputation. In fact, we developed this plugin at the request of MacStadium customers.
Check back soon for more plugins! Or if you just can’t wait, check out the Orka Docs to get the inside scoop. And if you have any plugin requests that would make your team would jump for joy, please reach out. We’d love to hear from you.
